Cold Feet is the name of my thesis project done at Ringling School of Art and Design, which was completed in 2005. From concept design to storyboard,
modeling to animation, I had to produce everything myself with the guidance from the Computer Animation faculty. You can enjoy the short below, and view
some of the process images below. It was such a pleasure to work on this. Besides the water and the characters, everything else was a matte painting.

A large render from my thesis was requested for the 2005-06 Ringling calender. I took a high res render and enhanced some of the elements in Photoshop,
which was a great deal of fun to do. Feel free to click on the image for a 1600 pixel wide version. Enjoy!

Below are stills and/or test renders of the progress of some of the shots in my thesis.

Below you can see how each shot was created.

First, rough geometry was created for reference and for matte painting projections.

Next, I would take what existing paintings I had done from other cameras and project them onto the geometry for this shot.

This shows the wireframe exposed over the finished matte painting.

Here we see just the painting used for this shot.

And here is the final render.

And here is where it all started. To pitch the idea of Cold Feet to the faculty, I created this concept painting to show the look and feel of what I was thinking.
