A
good friend and colleague, Mike Pedro, did the pencils for this artwork
that eventually was colored and printed
as the cover to a special He-Man comic on TrapJaw's history. The cover
in print, is seen below this pic, on the left
of a version of the same pencils colored by myself. Mike and I were
trying to generate a unique style of
coloring comic book line art. The goal was a more believable sense of
light and somehow using
the actual pencil work more in defining the form, which led to the interesting
highlights you'll see below. This took around 7 hours to color in Photoshop.
